Montessori elementary students start every fall with a bang—the Big Bang—during the First Great Lesson about the origins of the universe. Following the First Great Lesson, students explore stellar nucleosynthesis and learn how elements are created in the bellies of stars. This year students gathered outside for the stellar nucleosynthesis lesson, joined virtually by students at home.
