Getting ready for school to start

The staff has been working on their new classroom arrangements, making materials, and updating supplies. We have a wonderful crew working hard on the construction of our new shade structures so that we may conduct the majority of our instruction outside. We are also busy attending meetings, forums, webinars, and continuing education classes in preparation for our new year.

We will be holding a parent orientation Zoom meeting on Wednesday, August 12, at 6PM, so please be on the lookout for the invitation that will go out closer to the date. And please remember our updated 2020-2021 Health and Safety Policies are online for anyone who would like to know more about our pandemic preparedness plans.

Our plan is to open for our first day of school on August 19th. Every child will need to have a backpack, at least two face masks, a water bottle, a snack, and a lunch.

All paper communications from the office, including invoices, will be sent home in the child’s backpack so it is important that this be checked every day. We will plan to go paperless as much as possible this year in the office, so all invoices will be emailed, but a paper copy can be sent home by request. The monthly newsletter will be emailed and it will also be available on our *new* website.

We will happily accept any donation of hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, and bleach, though we will have plenty of these items on hand when we reopen.

We are looking forward to meeting with you all on August 12th, but if you have any questions before then please send them our way and we will be happy to answer as best we can. We hope that you are safe and healthy, and we send you all our very best.
